On 17th September 2024 the London Bus Preservation Trust, in conjunction with Heritage Open Days, operated several heritage London buses along Routes 61 and 261 focusing on the Bromley area. Featuring 21 preserved vehicles running alongside the normal route allocation of modern buses, the event provided a window into the routes’ past operation.
